Résumé

In her survey of the seventy-year-old history of children's literature in Quebec, the author stresses the importance of initiatives taken by writers' associations and the provincial legislature. She also explains how and why books for children, which had almost disappeared from the market by 1970, became the most important part of Quebec's literary production in the eighties.
